Closing Your Account
If you wish to close your MyFreelancer account, follow these steps.
Before Closing
- Complete all active contracts
- Withdraw any remaining balance
- Download any important records
- Consider pausing instead of deleting
How to Close
- Go to Settings > Account
- Scroll to Close Account
- Select your reason
- Confirm your decision
What Happens After
- Profile is removed from search
- Data retained per legal requirements
- Cannot immediately reopen with same email
Contact support if you need to reactivate a closed account.
